Kanata Cubs Peewee (13U)

Peewee Cubs Give Back!

Updated Wednesday May 1, 2019 by Kanata Baseball Association.

On this night we turned play into work, practice was turned into volunteering to fill sandbags to help members of our community who are dealing with the difficulties with the rising water levels. The Kanata Cubs Peewee Rep team headed out to Dunrobin and helped fill sandbags. We witnessed first hand the current state of the water levels and the serious damage this flooding can cause.

Without hesitation all of the players got off the bus and jumped in to help fill, tie, shovel, or carry sandbags. The coaches would like to thank all of the players, parents and siblings that came out to help support tonight! People helping people is a powerful thing! We are very proud of this team and not only for their athletic ability but for the hard work and dedication they have to the sport of baseball, the support to their community, and the young men they are becoming!

Tonight was not "For The Boys" but "The Boys" showed their support for others! Very proud moment for parents and coaches!

Thank you!
